Orange Fluorescent Leak Detection Powder

Orange Fluorescent Leak Detection Powder is a highly visible tracer designed to help identify filter leaks and dust bypass in baghouses and industrial dust collection systems. Its distinctive fluorescent color makes orange suitable for many industrial environments where strong contrast is available between the tracer and the collected process dust.

Orange is generally best suited to applications where iron oxide is not present in significant amounts. Iron-oxide-containing dust can reduce the visual contrast of the orange tracer, making another fluorescent color a better choice in such environments. Considering process dust composition when choosing a leak detection powder color can make subsequent UV inspection easier to interpret.

The powder is introduced into the dirty-air stream and is carried by the airflow through the collector. If a filter bag, cartridge, seal, seam, or other component allows material to bypass filtration, orange tracer may become visible on the clean side under appropriate UV lighting. Each case provides four 5-lb pails for a total of 20 lb.
